I am a lineaged Pampamesayoq energy medicine practitioner in the Q’ero tradition, a mesa carrier, a Munay-Ki practitioner, and a certified sound healer. Of Puerto Rican and Irish/English ancestry, I intentionally weave the ancestral medicines of my Taíno and Celtic lineages into the energetic field of my work, honoring land-based wisdom, ancestral remembrance, and right relationship with spirit.

My training and practice include working alongside world-renowned shamans Alberto Villoldo and Marcela Lobos, as well as direct learning with Q’ero paqo elders Don Juan Quispe, Don Juan Apaza, DOn Chino, Don Martin, Doña Juanita, and Don Francisco Chura Flores. I have worked with Brazilian shaman Leo Artese, through whom I conducted the Flight of the Eagle—a ceremonial journey centered on vision, clarity, and embodied leadership. in addition, my work is informed by teachings on presence, including those of Eckhart Tolle, alongside lived experience and ongoing contemplative study.

Central to my work is a commitment to decolonizing healing spaces. I approach ancestral practices with humility, consent, and reciprocity, honoring the living cultures from which these traditions originate. Rather than extracting or universalizing Indigenous wisdom, I hold this work as a practice of remembrance, repair, and relationship—inviting participants to reconnect with their own ancestral roots, the land they stand on, and the wisdom already present within them.

Through sound, ritual, and presence, I open spaces that invite participants to reconnect with nature, explore their inner landscape, and attune to their own rhythm within the greater flow of life. Drawing from Andean cosmology, Celtic earth wisdom, and Taíno reverence for the elements, my work offers a grounded, cross-ancestral approach that centers respect, accessibility, and integrity.

I am a student of The Four Winds Society and The Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids. My training with The Sound Healing Academy and Life Changing Energy allows me to integrate ancestral wisdom with contemporary modalities in a way that is both rooted and relevant.

Hi, I'm Emilie Romero.

my Healing Journey

Years ago, while diving into user experience research, (my day job), I stumbled upon a world that would change my life forever. I was researching how to design a website that would help people with traumatic brain injuries easily connect with creative arts therapists for healing. In my exploration, I discovered the profound field of sound healing—a therapy I’d never heard of before. I heard how sound healing helped one man go from having 40 seizures a day to 3. Veterans were recovering from PTSD. I was shocked. What was this?! How come we had never heard of this before? I was immediately fascinated by the idea that sound could resonate so deeply with the body, offering not only relaxation but genuine healing. Little did I know, this curiosity was setting the stage for my own incredible journey.

Years later, life led me down an unexpected path, and I found myself facing my own traumatic brain injury. I spent months in a dark room, healing in silence. During that time, the only sound i could tolerate was crystal singing bowls. With a desire for peace, I began meditating and listening to their soothing tones. The gentle vibrations of the bowls seemed to wrap around me, guiding me through my darkest days and bringing a calm I desperately needed. In those quiet moments, I felt an undeniable connection to the sound—a calling to keep listening, to be still, and to open myself up to the beauty of nature and community.

Embracing that call, I began to heal. I reconnected with nature, letting the sounds around me become a part of my daily rhythm. The music of life—birds, wind, water, and the healing tones of the bowls—became my medicine. Over time, I found myself free from the constant headaches and migraines that had once plagued me, and I discovered a sense of peace that I hadn’t known before.

Now, I feel a deep desire to share the powerful effects of sound healing with my community. I want others to experience the uplifting, transformative power that sound and nature can bring to our lives. I’ve seen firsthand how sound can calm the mind, soothe the body, and connect us to something greater. Sound healing has brought me joy, peace, and purpose, and I am thrilled to share this beautiful journey with others, hoping it may inspire them as it has inspired me.
